Tattoo Lightening &
Removal

Consultation

Learn more about the different options available to reduce or remove your tattoo. Every skin and tattoo are different and should be treated accordingly.

Test Patch

A free test patch is required for all clients wishing to start laser tattoo removal.

This is to ensure that your tattoo is suitable for laser, to understand which settings will work best for your skin, and to check for adverse reactions. Not all tattoos are able to be treated with laser.

A test patch is not a guarantee that complications may not arise, however it will reduce the risk and also improve the effectiveness and treatment outcomes.

Saline Lightening

A specially developed, hypertonic solution is tattooed into the skin. The salt particles are larger than the tattoo ones, these particles lift the tattoo closer to the surface and are expelled during the scabbing phase of healing.

Best suited for newer cosmetic tattoos, discomfort and a two week healing period is to be expected, with multiple sessions often being required.

A $50 booking fee will apply.

Liquid Removal

Think Aesthetics liquid removal is a gentle glycolic acid that is tattooed into the skin. The glycolic acid breaks down the encapsulated tattoo particles, allowing them to be flushed to the surface of the skin and be wiped away.

Clients should expect multiple sessions to achieve desired results. There will be some discomfort during the treatment, some possible scabbing during the healing phase.

Great for older cosmetic tattoos that just won't budge.

A $50 booking fee will apply.

Laser Tattoo Removal

Using a mechanical nd Yag laser, colour is shattered into smaller particles to allow the body's immune system to remove the inks from the skin.

Discomfort during the treatment is expected but can be managed using ice packs. Clients also have the option of applying topical numbing cream to smaller areas before arriving.

Clients should consider downtime and aftercare commitments which will be discussed at the consultation. Swelling, Bruising, scabbing and small blisters are all considered regular outcomes of laser tattoo removal. Aftercare must be followed to assist with proper healing and to minimize the risk of infection, scarring and pigmentation changes.

Different factors will influence the results of laser tattoo removal and will be discussed in full at your yest patch which is compulsory for all clients wishing to start laser tattoo removal. Tattoo colours, depth, age, inks used, level of scarring and client comfort are just a few factors to be considered.

A full quote will be offered at the test patch, however the guide bellow will give you an idea of the pricing expected.

Which is right for me?

Each method of lightening and removal has it's own risks and possible outcomes. It is very hard to know which service may be best without an in-clinic assessment. If you are exploring available options, booking a free test patch will be the best place to start.
